Here are some pictures from us working on Daily 5 today.
We started poetry today and read a tongue twister! We all enjoyed practicing Betty Botter. Here is the poem to practice at home if your child is interested! GOOD LUCK!
Betty Botter Betty Botter bought some butter. "But," she said, "the butter's bitter. If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter-- that would make my batter better." So she bought a bit of butter, better than her bitter butter. And she put it in her batter, and the batter was not bitter. So 'twas better Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter! --By Anonymous Thanks to everyone who participated in our red ribbon week activities last week! We learned about making healthy choices throughout the week.
Thanks to Lone Star Action Sports for coming and riding for us on Thursday afternoon! We had a great time watching the bike and skate tricks!
Today we worked on our iPads for Social Studies! We listened to different articles about Archaic Indians. We also discussed the hard work of archaeologists and wrote a journal entry pretending we were archaeologists! This week we learned about theme, sequence of events, and summaries. As a final product of the week, students broke into groups, read a book, and made a poster of the theme, sequence of events, and summary. Everyone worked together and they were proud of their posters!
